Exploration
In Physical Education this term, students will:
- Identify rules and boundaries of games played in Physical Education.
- Work cooperatively with others to achieve a goal during physical activity.
- Attempt to demonstrate fundamental movement skills of bouncing, throwing, catching, and kicking.
Discovery
In Physical Education this term, students will:
- Perform fundamental movement skills of bouncing, throwing, catching and kicking.
- Demonstrate body control when participating in activities that require change of speed and direction.
- Begin to describe their feelings after participating in different physical activities.
Curiosity
In Physical Education this term, students will:
- Perform more complex movement skills of bouncing, throwing, catching and kicking through games: AFL, basketball, athletics, volleyball and cricket.
- Work cooperatively with team members to maintain possession in game play, by sharing with others and listening to team members.
- Begin to recognise the consequences of personal and team actions in group activities.
- Develop endurance by training for a 2km cross country event
Challenge
In Physical Education this term, students will:
- Identify their own personal areas of strengths and challenges (in fitness) and suggest ways to maintain and improve fitness
- Demonstrate refinement and control of movement skills through various physical activities including: AFL, basketball, volleyball and cricket.
- Demonstrate defensive and offensive play in modified game play.
- Develop endurance by training for a 2km cross country event.
