An educator with experience in schools both nationally and internationally has been selected as the Foundation Deputy Principal of St Lawrence of Brindisis after an exhaustive search.

Principal Bill Hill welcomed Caroline Madigan to the school and said he was delighted to have found someone with Caroline’s commitment to promoting strong family school partnerships and community engagement.

Caroline said the idea of being the Founding Deputy Principal of St Lawrence Brindisi is an honour and privilege.

“I am excited to work with the new team and work with Bill in building and leading a wonderful school community.  I look forward to meeting the families and students of St Lawrence of Brindisi and I am excited and eager to engage with students and staff, as we learn and grow together,” she said.

Caroline believes education is a lifelong process and she was excited to work in partnership with Principal Bill Hill to establish St Lawrence as a place that inspires students as life-long learners.

“With the support of families, I believe in providing all students with the opportunity to learn in a creative, inclusive, nurturing and welcoming environment,” she said

Caroline prides herself on being an active listener and enjoys listening to individual stories, to develop a mutual respect and understanding.

While Caroline has been teaching and guiding Catholic schools in the Western suburbs for many years, she was also the co-founder of an educational consultancy firm that worked with school nationally and international with a focus on family school partnerships.

Outside of school, Caroline is married and is a mother of four adult children, and values her own Catholic faith and her family.  Caroline enjoys spending time working on small craft projects, working in the garden and enjoys coaching sports, particularly netball and athletics.

She has a little spoilt Cavoodle, who thinks she is a human and barks every time you sing Happy Birthday.  She has a cat that knocks on the door to come in and 6 tropical fish that live in a heated tank.

Caroline enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and enjoys her summer breaks on the beach, camping, fishing, cooking and reading books.
